Herbal Immunity Boosters – III

Herbal Immunity Boosters are a sort of herb that should only be used in the short term when your white blood cells are in severe need of stimulation. They are most commonly recommended for usage during the early stages of a disease or after exposure to an infectious infection.

They may be a quick treatment, but they won’t keep an infection at bay for the course of the disease. As a result, they must be given on a regular basis to maintain their levels in the body.

myrrha(Commiphora myrrha)

It’s a plant that grows throughout Africa and the Middle East, but it’s traditionally grown in the desert. It is technically not a herb, but rather a gum or resin extracted from the commiphora myrrha tree. However, like several other remedies discussed in this Herbal Immunity Boosters series, it is often included under the umbrella of herbal medicine due to it being harvested from a plant and being an effective, natural healer. Usually, it goes through the process of being turned into a resin which comes out a deep reddish brown color.

Patients with the tongue-twisting parasitic infection schistosomiasis were treated in a clinical trial. Myrrh resin and volatile oils were administered to them. Surprisingly, 98 percent of the individuals were entirely cured by the end of the trial.

In a separate study, patients were given 10mg of myrrh resin and its volatile oils for every 2.2 pounds (1kg) of body weight they possessed. This was only given for three days. 91.7 percent of the patients were cured within three days.

Out of the remaining participants who were not cured after the first three days of treatment, 77 percent were cured after an additional six days of treatment. With merely the usage of myrrh, the cure rate for schistosomiasis was eventually increased to about 100%.

If you think myrrh would be beneficial to you, there are a number of home treatments you can do to achieve maximum performance. However, two of the most cost-efficient and effective recipes are listed below.

Commiphora myrrha

Myrrh infused oil

Infusing oil is simply the act of letting the active ingredients of a herb be soaked into an oil. These oils can then be applied to the skin directly or incorporated to body lotions, butters, and soaps. They can help to remove dark spots, even out skin tone, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Making an infused oil is simple and only requires three ingredients: Myrrh chunks, a glass jar that can be sealed and carrier oil.

If you have trouble with acne breakouts, you’ll want to use a non-comedogenic oil. Olive and coconut oil are examples of comedogenic oils. Sunflower, argan, jojoba, and almond oils are on the opposite end of the spectrum and do not block pores. Almond is great for eliminating dark circles under the eyes, so it’s a great choice for anyone with tired skin. for a light, pleasant-smelling oil that’s also simple to apply, jojoba is the way to go. This is due to the fact that its texture is nearly equal to that of the skin’s natural oil, making it simple to absorb. Sunflower oil, on the other hand, is a terrific all-arounder that can be used to moisturise most skin types.

Prepration

Fill the jar halfway with oil and add myrrh.

The oil should be hot. Placing it in a bain marie for 2- 3 hours is an efficient way to do this.
Remove the myrrh particles from the oil, leaving only the infusion.

Now myrrh infused oil is reddy to use for any skin ailments. It can be a great healer for skin complaints such as eczema, wounds, ulcers, acne or inflamed itchy skin. It can also be used to massage skin. Not only will this give a sensual experience, but it will relax both body and mind. Also, through the motion of massage, the body will absorb the myrrh oil which will soothe the body while aiding the elimination of toxins. It is especially good for relaxation when suffering from muscular pain, tension headaches or menstrual cramps.

Myrrh mouthwash

Ingredients:

1 cup of water. This can be filtered or bottled.

1 teaspoon of salt. Sea salt or Himalayan salt.

2 drops of myrrh essential oil.

Prepration

Heat water and add in salt and myrrh. To make mouth wash to taste more like a conventional mouthwash, add few drops of peppermint essential oil. Not only will this give that expected minty taste, but it will also add some extra bacteria fighting power. Once the water reaches a temperature where all the salt has dissolved, remove from the heat and let it cool.

Internal problems can also benefit from myrrh, which can be achieved by using it in essential oil form. For example, sore throat, cough or runny nose, place a couple of drops in a bowl of boiling water and breathe in the steam. Inhaling the oil in this manner allows it to quickly absorb into the body, resulting in nearly instantaneous benefits. Furthermore, it is completely safe and FDA-approved.
